After the permanent closure of one of the last neighborhood grocery stores in Luxembourg, we wanted to give new life to the former premises before their transformation into a coffee shop. The idea was to create a series of wall murals inspired by the 1980s and 1990s, with their vibrant colors, graphic patterns, and distinctive aesthetic. A collection of sketches was developed to imagine the space as a temporary gallery. Unfortunately, the project could not be completed, but the drawings were reworked until they became images very close to the originally envisioned final result. Seven of these images were selected. They will now decorate the new venue, Café Florence Belair, adding a retro touch that echoes the history and evolution of the former store.
